Florida Marlins
On Friday, April 18th, Taylor Tankersley, Matt Lindstrom and Burke Badenhop of the Florida Marlins stopped by Daily Bread Food Bank's Reclamation Center for a volunteer food sorting session. Upon arrival, all three players wasted no time "pitching" in with an eager and enthusiastic sorting effort. In addition to their volunteer sorting, the three Marlins' pitchers took a tour of the facility and learned about our daily operation. Daily Bread Food Bank would like to thank the Florida Marlins, players Taylor Tankersley, Matt Lindstrom and Burke Badenhop as well as Ms. Nancy Olson for their hunger fighting intrest.

The Florida Marlins Community Foundation once again hit a home run with the 12th Annual Dinner on the Diamond! Marlins, Mermaids, games, food and the bright summer sun, what more could a fan ask for? On May 18th fans were able to enjoy a picnic on the field with their families along side the Florida Marlins players and their families. The picnic with a purpose is held yearly to benefit our community. Daily Bread Food Bank was once again honored to be one of the recipients this year! A warm thanks to our friends at the Florida Marlins Community Foundation for making this event a success!
