On Wednesday, May 21st, Pine Crest School varsity baseball players Alex Kashdin and Thomas Arnst presented Daily Bread Food Bank with a check for $6000! This amazing donation was the result of a community service project created by Kashdin and Arnst specifically for the food bank. They raised money by having gracious sponsors pledge a donation for each varsity baseball win. Their initial hope was to raise around $4000 for Daily Bread; however, after a very successful season on the diamond they surpassed their goal by $2000! Daily Bread Food Bank would like to acknowledge these two young baseball stars for their hunger fighting effort as well as the entire Pine Crest Panther varsity baseball team for striking out hunger this season!
