JARDEN CONSUMER SOLUTIONS EMPLOYEES SUPPORT DAILY BREAD'S "EXTRA HELPINGS" WITH $20,000 GRANT Grant to Help Feed South Florida's Hungry

MIAMI, June 15, 2006 - Daily Bread Food Bank is pleased to announce that it will receive a $20,000 grant from the Jarden Consumer Solutions Community Fund to support the Extra Helpings prepared food rescue program. The newly sponsored Extra Helpings truck will be unveiled and the check presentation will be made on Friday, June 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Daily Bread's Miami facility located at 5850 NW 32nd Avenue.

In the Extra Helpings program, a refrigerated truck arrives daily to caterers and restaurants in Dade and Broward Counties to collect surplus prepared food, and in the same day, is used to deliver the food to agencies that have on site feeding programs for immediate consumption. Over 160,000 pounds of prepared food that would otherwise go to waste is rescued annually through this program that supports 33 not-for-profit member agencies, which distribute the food to at-risk populations in our communities.

"Daily Bread Food Bank is thankful for the support from Jarden Consumer Solutions and their Community Fund," said Judith Gatti the Executive Director of Daily Bread Food Bank. "Their generosity is a blessing to the needy people of South Florida."
